Giovanna is a Director in PwC Italy. She has extensive experience in managing projects for European institutions, and Agencies typically acting as project manager/contact person. She is currently involved in several projects for DG CNECT such as the one supporting the implementation of “Smart factories - Digital innovation Hub in new Member States” and a study on “The Strategic Use of Innovation Procurement in the Digital Economy” amongst others.
She has also recently concluded a study for European Commission’s DG Energy, mapping technological solutions for cities at a global level, with a particular focus on EU28 countries, investigating projects embedding relevant digital technologies such as Cyber-Physical-Systems (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT), digital design features, simulation and analytics, etc.). She is also currently involved in Horizon 2020 funded research and innovation projects, focusing on cloud technologies and on smart city standards. Giovanna has carried out as project manager several transformation projects for public sector organisations aimed at process analysis and reengineering as well as introduction of ICT and digital solutions both in the private and in the public sector; Giovanna holds a Master in Public Management and a BA in Political Science - International relations from Federico II University in Naples.
